1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Booking & registration: name, email, phone number, age, and tennis level
  • Payment information: billing address and payment details (processed securely via Stripe)
  • Communication: messages via WhatsApp, email, or contact forms
  • Preferences: training preferences, scheduling availability, and goals

Information collected automatically

  • Website usage data and analytics
  • Device information (browser type, IP address)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

2. How We Use Your Information

Service delivery (managing bookings and memberships, processing payments, providing coaching, sending reminders); communication (responding to inquiries, service updates, community announcements); and improvement & analytics (understanding usage, improving the website, personalising your experience).

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Pursuant to Article 6 GDPR, we rely on: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for bookings, payments and service delivery; consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for marketing, non-essential cookies/analytics, and WhatsApp messaging; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for improving services, fraud prevention and support; and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for German tax and accounting compliance and lawful authority requests.

4. Data Security

Payment information is processed securely through Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. International Data Transfers

Some service providers, including Stripe, Google Analytics, and WhatsApp (Meta), may process your data outside the EEA. We ensure such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards under GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses or Adequacy Decisions). By using our services, you acknowledge and consent to these transfers where necessary for service delivery.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only for payment processing (Stripe), legal requirements, or with trusted service providers under confidentiality agreements.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Payment & invoicing records: retained 10 years (German tax law, HGB § 257)
  • Customer account data: duration of your membership plus 3 years for dispute resolution
  • Marketing communications: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe
  • Analytics data: aggregated/anonymised kept indefinitely; personal analytics data deleted after 14 months

When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or permanently anonymise it.

8. Cookies and Analytics

When you first visit our website you are shown a cookie banner. No analytics or marketing technology is loaded until you actively consent — if you reject, or simply ignore the banner, no Google or Meta scripts are loaded and no tracking cookies are set. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG.

Necessary (always active)

We store your cookie choice locally in your browser (lit_consent_v1) so we do not ask you again on every page. This contains only your own preference and no identifying information. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (consent required)

If you consent to analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Y8PR51QCQ1), a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*, typically valid up to 2 years) and processes:

  • pages viewed, and the order in which you view them
  • clicks on key buttons and links (e.g. booking, WhatsApp, course enrolment, the level quiz)
  • time spent on the site and on individual pages
  • approximate location (country/city level), device, browser and referral source

IP addresses are shortened before storage (IP anonymisation is enabled), and we have disabled Google Signals and advertising personalisation for this property. Data is retained for 14 months and then deleted. Google may transfer data to servers in the USA; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: Google Privacy Policy.

Marketing — Meta Pixel (consent required)

If you consent to marketing, we load the Meta Pixel, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our home page and Kickstart page. It allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to reach people with similar interests. Meta acts as a joint controller for the collection and transmission of this data. More information: Meta Privacy Policy.

Withdrawing your consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, via the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent stops any further data collection; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You may also delete the relevant cookies in your browser settings at any time.

9. WhatsApp Communication

WhatsApp is operated by Meta. Messages may be processed and stored by Meta under their policies, and Meta may use your data for purposes beyond our control. By contacting us via WhatsApp you accept Meta's practices. For sensitive information, we recommend email instead.

10. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correction, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), portability, restriction, and objection. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.

11. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services may be used by minors (under 18) with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental permission and will promptly delete any such data if discovered.

13. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements, and will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website.
